Hello there Crafty Friends!!! Long time, no see!! I know!! I just have been focusing a lot on my family and my students these past few months, so crafting has not been high on my list of priorities. I probably could/should do more of it to get my mind off of things, but I've been using exercise for that . So this year I will post as I create things and we will see where that takes me. I was able to get a little bit of my crafting mojo back this week to make a super fun card that can be given to a teacher of any sort for Valentines Day or to simply let them know that you love them!
Isn't this just the cutest card! All of the paper used came from my scraps!
I used my Letraset ProMarkers to color in this image. The sentiment is from the Create Your Classroom: Back to School Set. Bet you didn't know that you could use a Back to School set for a Valentines Day creation did you?!?
The adorable Heart Gumball Machine was a freebie that I found over at Little Scraps of Heaven. For a little bit of added bling I used some of the Martha Stewart glitter that I had. I also used some Glossy Accents on the glass portion of the gumball machine.
I had a lot of fun creating this card. It felt really good to make it! I hope you enjoyed what you saw today! I would love to hear your thoughts! Be sure to stop by my other CYC DT Sister's pages to see what they were able to create using the CYC: Back to School Set. Until Next Time... Big Crafty Butterfly Hugs!!! |

It's Time to Fall...
HAPPY FRIDAY Crafty Friends!!!! Man does it feel sooo good to be able to say it's Friday! Even better it' a 3 day weekend for me!!! That makes this weekend even better!!! Well it's our CYC DT Day and it's also a very special day for our Create Your Classroom Team! Yup it's the wonderful CYC Creator herself, Wendy's Birthday!!!! So I want to give her an even special shout out by wishing her a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! She is such an amazing person and I'm so happy to be able to call her my friend and colleague! So again Happy Birthday Wendy!!! Okay, now on to my project for this week! Our challenge from Wendy was to create something using the Back to School Stamp set with either a Thanksgiving, Christmas, or Winter Theme. I must admit that at first this was a big challenge, but the more I thought....and thought....and thought, I was finally able to think of something that would allow me to meet the challenge expectation and here it is!
It's a tag, bookmark, sign, whatever you would like for it to be. I am very happy with how it came together. Here is what I used:
* Pumpkin Digi Stamp from Digital Delights by Louby Loo
* Spellbinders Nestability Dies
* Gold Stickles
*Ribbon- from my stash
* Green Pattern Paper from the DCWV Autumn Splendor Pack
* Distress Ink in Vintage Photo
* Sentiment- Create Your Classroom: Back to School Set
Here is a close up of it all together.
Well, I hope that you enjoyed what you saw today. If you have a second be sure to hop over to Wendy's blog and wish her a very Happy Birthday! I know that it would make her day (she'd be even more excited if you went ahead and added the Back to School set to your stash as well! :-) )
Until Next Time...

The Apple of My Eye!!
Greeting Crafty Friends! It's Create Your Classroom's Design Team day and I wanted to stop in to show you what I created this week! I used the Back to School set created by Wendy of Create Your Classroom on my project this week. Be sure to head over to her store to grab your very own set and get playing!
The cute little apple was cut from the Making the Grade Cricut cartridge and then stamped with a Peachy Keen face. The sunburst behind the apple is by Jenni Bowlin
Here is a close up of the sentiment I used from Create Your Classroom's Back to School Set. The hearts were punched out using an Martha Stewart stamp and I added a line of stickles for some added bling.
Another close up!
I'll be back soon to share some banners and other projects that I've been creating! Until Next Time... Big Crafty Butterfly Hugs! |

Create Your Classroom Back To School Release!
Happy Friday Everyone!!! It has been one VERY LONG week for me!! Such a busy week, with a new student, early dismissals, professional development, you name it! All while still helping my students really get into the routine of being in 1st grade!!! I'm finally able to share the entire project that I sneak peeked for you last week!!! My crafty pal Wendy of Create Your Classroom is releasing her very FIRST stamp set!!! I'm SOOOO excited for her!!! These stamps are SOOOO AWESOME!!! They are very versatile and just all out fun to play with!!! As my first project for the Design Team, I decided to make a bookmark!!! I just love the way it turned out!!! I have it sitting on my desk at work, just so I can admire it and remember to smile and enjoy the moments as I help my students become better readers!!
I used a pre-cut bookmark made by Recollections. The blue background is from a DCWV adhesive paper pack. The polka dotted papers are all from my scrap stash. The ribbon is also from my scrap stash.
Here are some close ups of each section of the bookmark.
I colored this adorable guy in with my Promarkers! He was SO much fun to color in!
All of the scalloped pieces are pop-dotted to add some dimension and fun!
So without further adieu head on over to the Create Your Classroom store so you can get your hands on this adorable set!!!! Until Next Time.... Big Crafty Butterfly Hugs!!! |
