Sweet Love

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Sorry it has been a little bit since my last post. I have been working very hard with my students and it was getting quite exhausting as we patiently awaited the arrival of Spring Break! It has now arrived, well actually it arrived a few days ago, but I've been a busy bee in those few days. :) I have so many projects that I have worked on over the past few weeks, that I finally have time to blog about! So look for those throughout the week.

Yesterday, my boyfriend and I celebrated being together for 7 years!!! It's so hard to believe that it has already been that long! Every moment of the past 7 years has been a learning experience for the both of us. I would not trade him for anyone in the world. We definitely belong together and the best thing is that no one can break the bond that he and I have created! :)

So of course I had to find a way to put some of my craftiness into showing him how much I appreciate and love everything that he has done in the last 7 years and the wonderful and sweet man that he is!

He is a big gamer and every gamer needs their fuel, right! LOL! So I decided to make him a goodie basket full of some of his favorite treats that he can munch on while playing Call of Duty! The twist is that he only got 7 treats one for each year that we have been together!

I made this cute tag to go on the front of the basket by using one of the preloaded shapes on the Imagine and of course I had to use my K. Andrew Design Stamps. The sentiments are from the following sets It's Valentine's, Fall-O-Ween, Coffee & Tea for You & Me, and Winter Wishes. Talk about versatility! I had to hand write the "7" because I didn't have a stamp for that!

I also made a card to accompany the basket. It is very simple and I love how it came together! It was a Cricut-less card that used a lot of the scraps that I had in my crafty space!

I'm not sure if you can tell, but the red heart in the center is popped up because I really wanted our love for each other to be the focal point!

This is the inside of the card, which also uses K. Andrew Design Stamps. This set is called All In the Family and it is one of the newest sets that have been released.

What would any celebration be without a sweet treat! I have another passion besides teaching and card making and that is cooking! I love to cook and try my hand at making so many different meals and desserts. For this special occasion I decided to try my hand at making a Chocolate Oreo Cream cake that I found at Real Mom Kitchen. We both like Oreos and every now and then chocolate so I thought that it would be fun to try! It turned out very DELICIOUS!

I jazzed the edges up a little bit with some of the leftover oreo crumbs that I had, rather than let them go to waste! :)

Well I just wanted to share with you some of the craftiness that I was up to yesterday! I'm off to clean the crafting space a wee bit so that I can just mess it all up again! LOL! Be sure to check back this week to see some of the projects that I've worked on!

I'm also entering this in this week's Die Cuttin Divas Challenge #59- Sketch

Until Next Time...

For my project I have made a card and a gift bucket full of wonderful things to help Kristal to relax and rest. She does SO much for everyone that I thought this special gift would be just fitting for her! :)

This is the card that I made. The patterned papers and images are all cut from the Enjoy the Seasons cartridge for the Imagine. The sentiment was created by combining the Coffee & Tea for You & Me set and the Winter Wishes set.

This is the inside of the card. The sentiment is from the Scripture Sayings set and the images are from the Winged Things and Crafty Friends sets.

This is the bucket of relaxation that I put together for Kristal. Inside are some nail files, a manicure set, some eye masks including a gel one, a candle & holder, bath confetti, and a cd of relaxing music!

This is the top of the bucket with a paper flower that I picked up at Michael's. I hot glued it to the lid for some added fun!

Here is the total package! I really hope that Kristal takes some time to get some much needed R & R! She is SO very deserving of it!!!

Thanks so much for taking time to join us for this very special hop! Don't forget that if you want to join in the fun of this hop, you can create something just for Kristal and send it off to her. Be sure to link up your project below!

Here is my project for today's hop.
It's a chinese style takeout box created using the Sweet Tooth Boxes. The pattern was printed on the Imagine using the Enjoy The Seasons cartridge. The cute little pencil is on two sides of the container and it is from the Smiley Cards cartridge. I used some Peachy Keen faces to give it some personality!  I was inspired to create this project after seeing this post over at the Somewhat Simple blog. Instead of using a jar I decided to make a chinese box. Probably because I've been craving chinese lately. LOL!!!
The circles and thier patterns were also cut on the Imagine. This sentiment is from the Coffee & Tea for You & Me set.
This is the other side of the box and the sentiment is from the Winged Things set.
These strips of paper contain ideas for what kids can do when they are 'bored'. I figure to make it even more fun, they could grab a pair of chopsticks and pick things out of the box.
Here is the box all closed up, with a few "noodles" hanging out! :)
I just LOVE how this idea came together and I can't wait to give it to someone to put to use! I think that if I make more of these, I'm going to make some fortune cookies, to put the "noodles" into! :) How fun would that be to open up the box and find those in there!

Now that you've seen what I can make using the K. Andrew Design Stamps, head over to her online store to purchase your very own sets. Remember that if you spend $25,  you will get the Mini Heart Bonus Set for FREE!!

Happy Wednesday Crafty Friends!!! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day!!! I enjoyed some quality time with my boyfriend and that always puts a smile on my face :). Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge & Pre-Hop Week

Good Afternoon Friends!!

I hope that everyone is having an absolutely wonderful weekend!! I think it always goes by WAY TOO FAST!!! Can't we just have Monday be a part of the weekend too! LOL!

For this week's Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge we had to create a project to celebrate an Engagement, Wedding, or Anniversary. I think that these are all very special occasions and with Valentine's Day literally around the corner, I'm sure there will be lots of engagements. So that was what I chose to focus on for my project to share with you. Not only is today our Simply Sunday Challenge but it is the start of our Pre-Hop Week. This week many of my DT Sisters will be sharing projects that highlight 1 Cricut cartridge or SVG set and K.Andrew Design Stamps. We truly want to show you how verstaile and wonderful these stamps are.

Here is my project for today:

The base of my card is cut from the cartridge that I will be featuring all week: Smiley Cards. I think that this cartridge is a lot of fun and I can't wait to show you how fun they are when you add some K. Andrew Design stamps to them!!!

The center piece for the front of the card was created from heart punchouts that I adhered together to create this flower. I inked the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink and then bent the edges of the white petals to add some dimension. The "Will" sentiment was created by masking off and combining two sentiments in the Coffee & Tea for You & Me set and the "you" is from the Winged Things set.

Now for the inside of the card which holds the element of surprise! LOL

The box with the ring was cut from the Sweethearts cartridge. The "Be Mine" sentiment is from the new I Heart You! set. The "?" is from the Coffee & Tea for You & Me set.

This was a fun card to put together! I hope you've enjoyed it!

These are the stamp sets that I have featured today

Hi there crafty friends! I hope that everyone is having a wonderful week so far. I just wanted to stop in to share a couple of birthday cards that I made using my Cricut Imagine and of course my favorite stamps by K. Andrew Designs.

The cartridge used for both of these cards was Yummy. I had so much fun with that cartridge and I definitely will be adding it to my collection, I was fortunate that my co-worker let me borrow hers! :-)
