Good Afternoon Crafty Friends! I hope that life is treating each and every one of you well. I've been very under the weather for the last 2 weeks, which has taken my energy to do anything, and unfortunately it is something that I just have to let run its course, but I was able to get some pretty strong cough medicine to help with this nagging cough. But you didn't stop by to hear about my ailments! LOL! You came by to see what crafty goodness I have to share with you for this week's Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge! This week's challenge is a color challenge. You must use the colors Green and White + 1 other color. This was quite the challenge for me. I searched through all of my paper packs to see what fun green patterned papers I had. As I was searching a great idea came to mind for me. This week is the 1st of 2 weeks for the students in our state in grades 3-5 & 8th grade. They have to take a state mandated test that is a VERY BIG deal. I am fortunate enough to be able to work with several 4th and 5th graders through our after school mentoring group and each year I like to give them a small token to encourage them to do their best on the MSA. So that was my inspiration for the quick and easy cards that I put together to share with you. Here they are: The card on the left is a 3x3 card and the one on the right is a 4x4 card. The horseshoe used on both cards was cut from the Create a Critter cartridge. The sentiments are from the following K. Andrew Design stamp sets: Splashtastic Summer & Fall-O-Ween I used the horseshoe to symbolize Good Luck and I want the kids to know that this is thier chance to shine and show the state just how smart they are! I hope you have enjoyed what you have seen today! Be sure to join in on the fun by submitting your project HERE! Remember this is a color challenge so you must use Green and White + 1 other color. Well that's all for now! Until Next Time... Big Crafty Butterfly Hugs |

Let's All Give Thanks
Well hello there crafty friends! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and enjoyed spending time with thier loved ones and most importantly taking time to think about all that we have to be thankful for. I am so blessed to be able to wake up each morning and see all this beautiful world that God has created for us. I'm reminded each and every day that without Him, nothing would be possible!
I just wanted to share a super cute banner that I created to use at a feast that we had for the Mentoring program that I co-run at my school and after I used it for our feast, I sent it to my grandmother so that she could have it to use at our family dinner, for hopefully many more years! :)

This sentiment and image are from the K.Andrew Designs Fall-O-Ween set
This handsome guy was cut from the Create A Critter cart.
Here is the banner hung above my fireplace. The base, layers, and letters were all cut from Birthday Bash, I love that cart when making banners!
Another close up
And the other side.
I also wanted to share a centerpiece that I created for the feast that we had at school. Basically, as each guest arrived they had to take one of the leaf sticks and write something that they were thankful for. Then the centerpiece came together as each person added thier leaf. Everybody really enjoyed this part of the feast and it was great to see the beautiful decoration that we created as a group!
I used my Gypsy to make the cards and then attached them to bamboo skewers. I used Tim Holtz distress ink in Vintage Photo to ink around the edges of each leaf. The basket was purchased at Michaels for 40% off!
This is a close up of the tag that I added to the front. The sentiments and image are from K. Andrew Designs Scripture Sayings and Winged Things Sets
Here is a view of the full basket, this was pre-feast so I could transport it to school.
Well that's all I have for today. I'm going to be entering these into the current Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge- Give Thanks! Be sure to check out Kristal's awesome stamp sets! They are AMAZING! Best of all they are made right here in the USA and $1 from each set sold is donated to a charitable cause! How awesome is that! Head on over to her store, K. Andrew Designs, to see exactly what I'm talking about. You will be glad that you did! :)
I am so thankful for each of my followers who take time out of their day to stop by to see what I have been up to! Thank you for stopping by. Be sure to stop by later this week to see what other crafty things I've got up my sleeves! I'm off to start working on some Christmas decorations and cards! I can't believe I'm actually getting started early, I am definitely in the spirit already! :)
Until Next Time....

Sunny Thoughts for You!
I am really enjoying all the time that I have had to craft this week! It has really been a great way for me to clear my mind of all thoughts! I was so happy this afternoon when I went to my mailbox because my order from K. Andrews from Getting Cricky was in there!!!!! YAY!!! I just love her blog and I’ve wanted to get her stamps since they first came out. I finally was able to get my hands on a couple of sets and hopefully the others in the future.
Since I just HAD to make SOMETHING with the stamps today, I decided to make a card that I will be entering into 3 challenges.
Wacky Wednesday #44- Fun in the Sun
Wacky Wednesday #44- Fun in the Sun

I just LOVE working with bright colors! They tend to brighten up my thoughts as well
Sentiment is from K.Andrews Designs Splash-tastic Summer set.
Sun is cut from Create a Critter. I stamped that cute little face on the sun from PKS- Wide Eye Kids set. Flower is from DCWV Animal Crackers sticker embellishments
Background layer is embossed with Cuttlebug- Tiny Bubbles folder
So glad that you stopped by yet again to see my creations! I love reading your comments. They continue to inspire and motivate me to craft!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!
Happy Valentine's Day to Everyone!!!
It has truly been a day filled with love and friendship for me! I had a wonderful time with my students today and seeing them share their friendship and love with not only their classmates but with my student teacher and I as well. They really know how to make you appreciate being a teacher! I then came home to a wonderful surprise from my own Valentine ( who might I add has been a wonderful valentine for the past 6 years!) I have just treasured every moment today as I do everyday!
Now on to my crafts. The first project are the pencil holders. I got the idea and inspiration from my dear friend Wendy over at Cricut Your Classroom. They were very well received from all of my students, considering lately they have not been able to find their pencils! :)
My next craft are pillow boxes that I cut from the Wedding cartridge. I stuffed them with some chocloate, sweethearts and lifesavers. The tag was punched from my EK success punch and the sentiment was from a set that I got from the dollar bin at Michaels. I was very happy with how these turned out. My kids were so anxious to find out what was inside of them but they had to wait until they got home to find out.
Lastly I wanted to share the card I made for my Valentine, Carl! It seemed like he liked it and even if he didn't I did!!! LOL
I thought I would wrap up this post by sharing some pictures of my surprises and cards from Carl!
I love giant balloons especially the ones that sing or talk to me such as this one!
This cute little bear talks back to me every time it hears "I love you!"
This has been a wonderful Valentine's Day and I hope that all of you have been able to surround yourself by someone or something that you love! Until next time...
