Here is my project for today's hop.

It's a chinese style takeout box created using the Sweet Tooth Boxes. The pattern was printed on the Imagine using the Enjoy The Seasons cartridge. The cute little pencil is on two sides of the container and it is from the Smiley Cards cartridge. I used some Peachy Keen faces to give it some personality!  I was inspired to create this project after seeing this post over at the Somewhat Simple blog. Instead of using a jar I decided to make a chinese box. Probably because I've been craving chinese lately. LOL!!!

The circles and thier patterns were also cut on the Imagine. This sentiment is from the Coffee & Tea for You & Me set.

This is the other side of the box and the sentiment is from the Winged Things set.

These strips of paper contain ideas for what kids can do when they are 'bored'. I figure to make it even more fun, they could grab a pair of chopsticks and pick things out of the box.

Here is the box all closed up, with a few "noodles" hanging out! :)

I just LOVE how this idea came together and I can't wait to give it to someone to put to use! I think that if I make more of these, I'm going to make some fortune cookies, to put the "noodles" into! :) How fun would that be to open up the box and find those in there!

Getting Cricky Pre-Hop Week- Day 5

Hello Again, Crafty Friends!!! I hope that you are having a wonderful week! It's hard to believe that it is already Day 5 of the Getting Cricky Pre-Hop Week. But you know what that means!!!! Tomorrow is our big BLOG HOP!!!! :) I can't wait for you to see all of the awesome creations my DT Sisters and I have to share with you. Andrew Design Stamps!!! Here it is: To create this card, I of course used my Smiley Card cartridge for that super cute balloon. I stamped the face using Peach Keen Character Assortment set. The cloud behind the balloon was cut using one of the pre-installed images on the Imagine and I used a pattern from the Enjoy the Seasons cartridge. Getting Cricky Pre-Hop Week- Day 4

Happy Wednesday Crafty Friends!!! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day!!! I enjoyed some quality time with my boyfriend and that always puts a smile on my face :). I loved my goodies from cupid, but I have to say the most shocking gift that I received was a homemade strawberry cheesecake from one of my students. My students know that this is my all time FAVORITE dessert and I thought that that was the sweetest treat!!! So between the wonderful gifts from my boyfriend and the many gifts from my students, I must say that it was an overall great day!

If you've been visiting throughout the week, then you know that our challenge this week, is to use 1 Cricut cartridge/SVG and ANY K. Andrew Designs Stamp set. This has been an exremely fun week so far.The cartridge that I am featuring this week is Smiley Cards. This is an exclusive cartridge that is only on the Gypsy. I have found so many awesome features and cuts that I didn't even know were on this cartridge

Happy Valentine's Day!! - Getting Cricky Pre-Hop Week Day 3

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!!! I hope that you have a chance to spend some time with your loved ones! Nothing like letting those you love know how much you really love them, although we should do this EVERY day of the year not just one day. Can you believe that we are already on our 3rd day of the Getting Cricky Pre-Hop week!!! Theremy  have been some absolutely WONDERFUL projects shared this week!!! I LOVE the challenge that using ONLY 1 cartridge has provided me! I live to be challenged!! LOL! Well as you know I've been featuring the Smiley Cards cartridge and I am enjoying the projects that I've created so far! So here are my special projects that I've created especially for today's wonderful occasion! Isn't this just too cute!!! I love how fun this cut is! I also LOVE the sentiment that I was able to add using the K. Andrew Designs- It's Valentines set OMG!!! This is probably my favorite project so far this week! Although I do LOVE them all. This one just makes me smile. The base & lipstick were both cut from the Smiley Cards cartridge. The sentiments from the It's Valentines set were absolutely PERFECT for the image that I used!!! Didn't you know that "Smooches" was the hottest new lipstick!!! LOL!!! This is the inside of the card again using the It's Valentines set. I do plan to write a quick little love note to my boyfriend! Hopefully he will appreciate it as much as I appreciate him! I am having so much fun designing with the K. Andrew Design Stamps! Getting Cricky Pre-Hop Week

Good Morning Bloggie Friends!! Can you believe that  it's already Monday?!? Where oh where does the weekend go so fast! Oh well, I'm looking forward to next weekend because it is a 3-day weekend. You just gotta LOVE those! I'm back today to share with you my project for the Getting Cricky Pre-Hop Week. My DT sisters and I have challenged ourselve to use ONLY one Cricut Cartridge or SVG cut to showcase for the week along WITH  any K. Andrew Design stamp set.  The cartridge that I am featuring this week is the Smiley Cards cartridge. This is such a fun cartridge that has so many wonderful cuts and best of all, they work GREAT with K. Andrew Design stamps!!! My preview yesterday featured the card feature on this cartridge. My project today features one of the cuts minus the face because I wanted to use some of my Peach Keen faces. You've waited long enough, so here is my project for today: It is such an awesome card in person. As you can see I used the cloud cut from this cartridge. I used the Layer 2 feature to get the grey base for each cloud and then made the white layers slightly smaller. I used the Happy Lashes Peachy Keen set for those adorable faces and then I used some stickles to add the "silver lining". My sentiment, which was the inspiration for this card is from the Positive Thoughts set. Get your very own sets HERE! I was so pleased with how this card turned out. It turned out so much better than I originally envisioned. Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge & Pre-Hop Week

Good Afternoon Friends!! I hope that everyone is having an absolutely wonderful weekend!! I think it always goes by WAY TOO FAST!!! Can't we just have Monday be a part of the weekend too! LOL! For this week's Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge we had to create a project to celebrate an Engagement, Wedding, or Anniversary. I think that these are all very special occasions and with Valentine's Day literally around the corner, I'm sure there will be lots of engagements. So that was what I chose to focus on for my project to share with you. Not only is today our Simply Sunday Challenge but it is the start of our Pre-Hop Week. This week many of my DT Sisters will be sharing projects that highlight 1 Cricut cartridge or SVG set and K.Andrew Design Stamps. We truly want to show you how verstaile and wonderful these stamps are. Here is my project for today: The base of my card is cut from the cartridge that I will be featuring all week: Smiley Cards. I think that this cartridge is a lot of fun and I can't wait to show you how fun they are when you add some K. Andrew Design stamps to them!!! The center piece for the front of the card was created from heart punchouts that I adhered together to create this flower. I inked the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink and then bent the edges of the white petals to add some dimension. The "Will" sentiment was created by masking off and combining two sentiments in the Coffee & Tea for You & Me set and the "you" is from the Winged Things set. Now for the inside of the card which holds the element of surprise! LOL The box with the ring was cut from the Sweethearts cartridge. The "Be Mine" sentiment is from the new I Heart You! set. The "?" is from the Coffee & Tea for You & Me set. This was a fun card to put together! I hope you've enjoyed it! Look's Like It's Tea Time!

Hi There Crafty Friends!!!

This is the first project I've done since being selected as a Junior Design Team Member for Getting Cricky!!! I absolutely LOVE her stamps, did I mention that they are made in the USA and Kristal donates $1 from each set to charity!  More importantly I LOVE how kind and generous and the wonderful person that Kristal is!

I made 2 projects to enter into the current Simply Sunday Challenge which is to create something with a hot beverage!! While I'm not a coffee drinker, I do ocassionally like to partake in a nice hot cup of tea. My latest tea indulgence has been peppermint tea!!! I love all things mint and when I found this tea, while sick and grocery shopping, I discovered that it was a match made in heaven,. LOL!!!

Well enough of my babbling about mint tea, of all things, here are my projects!

I think this card definitely reminds me so much of a perfect autumn day drinking a cup of tea. What do you think? The solid paper is Recollections and the patterned papers are from a DCWV autumn stack that I got on clearance last year. The sentiment is from K. Andrews Designs- Coffee & Tea for You & Me

The coffee up and plate are cut from the Smiley Cards cart and I welded the steam from Winter Frolic

Here is a close up of the sentiment. I think this is absolutely perfect! I am planning on virtually sharing this with my close gal pals, because we are definitely the perfect blend! :)

Since I was really feeling the tea-bug, I couldn't stop at just making this card. I've really been dying to make a gift card holder and was able to find a great tutorial on how to make one at Jan's Stamping Creations. After looking at her tutorial I just had to give it a try. I am so happy with how this turned out. See for yourself!

This is the insert in the 1st pocket that can be used for a message/note. The scrolls are from the K. Andrew Designs - Winter Wishes set

Tacky Tuesday, Peachy Keen Let's Face it Friday & Birthday Sundaes Challenges

Just stopping in to share the card that I made for three challenges! I am entering this card in the Tacky Tuesday July challenge – Cool Treat with the word Sweet hosted by Ruthie of September Ninth. I am also entering it in the Birthday Sundaes Challenge #17- Summery Colors- Use orange, green and white and in Peachy Keen Stamps- Let's Face It Friday-- Plentiful Patterns Challenge

Here is what I came up with!

The ice cream cone is from Smiley Cards. I welded an extra scoop on using my Gypsy so that it could be a double scoop cone! The "sweet thoughts" sentiment is from My Creative Time's Just a Note set

Face is stamped from PKS- Happy Lashes. Sentiment is from My Pink Stamper- Friends and Family set. I did the embossing on the cone with the Pop Culture Borders folder

All Jacked Up Blog Hop

Our themed projects for this hop could be altered ‘jacked up’ items, projects made from ‘jacked up’ scraps, or anything cocktail related.


I chose to share two projects with you. One project is one that I will be using in my classroom and the other is a birthday card that I made for my Dad!


For my first project I took an empty Lysol wipes container and did my best to modify it to look like an Elmer's Glue Stick. Right now this project is still pretty plain so I would love some feedback on what I could add to it to make it a little more appealing for first graders to want to use. I think they are going to want to put thier empty glue sticks, which our school can earn some money for, in the container regardless but I'd love to make it just a little more appealing! :)

I didn't think that my stop on this hop would be complete without making SOMETHING related to the cocktail aspect of the "jacked up" interpretation. Unlike me, my dad enjoys a nice cold beer every once in a while so I thought that this card would be PERFECT for him. I used the Smiley Cards cartridge and my gypsy to make this shaped card! To get the dripping beer effect on the card I used one of my cuttlebug border folders. I think it turned out great!

A blog hop is not complete without having some candy available. Although I do not have a picture of what I am offering up, one lucky commenter will receive some surprise blog candy from me for leaving myself and all of the other stops some love!
