HAPPY FRIDAY Crafty Friends!!!! Man does it feel sooo good to be able to say it's Friday! Even better it' a 3 day weekend for me!!! That makes this weekend even better!!! Well it's our CYC DT Day and it's also a very special day for our Create Your Classroom Team! Yup it's the wonderful CYC Creator herself, Wendy's Birthday!!!! So I want to give her an even special shout out by wishing her a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! She is such an amazing person and I'm so happy to be able to call her my friend and colleague! So again Happy Birthday Wendy!!! Okay, now on to my project for this week! Our challenge from Wendy was to create something using the Back to School Stamp set with either a Thanksgiving, Christmas, or Winter Theme. I must admit that at first this was a big challenge, but the more I thought....and thought....and thought, I was finally able to think of something that would allow me to meet the challenge expectation and here it is!
It's a tag, bookmark, sign, whatever you would like for it to be. I am very happy with how it came together. Here is what I used:
* Pumpkin Digi Stamp from Digital Delights by Louby Loo
* Spellbinders Nestability Dies
* Gold Stickles
*Ribbon- from my stash
* Green Pattern Paper from the DCWV Autumn Splendor Pack
* Distress Ink in Vintage Photo
* Sentiment- Create Your Classroom: Back to School Set
Here is a close up of it all together.
Well, I hope that you enjoyed what you saw today. If you have a second be sure to hop over to Wendy's blog and wish her a very Happy Birthday! I know that it would make her day (she'd be even more excited if you went ahead and added the Back to School set to your stash as well! :-) )
Until Next Time...

The Apple of My Eye!!
Greeting Crafty Friends! It's Create Your Classroom's Design Team day and I wanted to stop in to show you what I created this week! I used the Back to School set created by Wendy of Create Your Classroom on my project this week. Be sure to head over to her store to grab your very own set and get playing!
The cute little apple was cut from the Making the Grade Cricut cartridge and then stamped with a Peachy Keen face. The sunburst behind the apple is by Jenni Bowlin
Here is a close up of the sentiment I used from Create Your Classroom's Back to School Set. The hearts were punched out using an Martha Stewart stamp and I added a line of stickles for some added bling.
Another close up!
I'll be back soon to share some banners and other projects that I've been creating! Until Next Time... Big Crafty Butterfly Hugs! |

It's Back to Work I Go
Hi everyone, I told you I would be back here more frequently now!! LOL! I started back to work today after having been off all summer. I love being able to get back and see how all of my co-workers are doing and have spent their summer. It always seems like we haven't been gone for too long. It was a busy day full of meetings and then I did have some time to work in my classroom, which is a BIG work in progress. I will post pictures after I have everything set up. I just wanted to share a card that I made for my mister for his birthday back in June. It was only my my 3rd time working with a digi stamp, which I have really grown to love lately as my Cricut machines have been giving me some issues occasionally. The image is called Handy Harry from Digital Delights by Louby Loo. I have gotten a lot of the digital images that I've worked with from this site and I just LOVE them, they fit my personality and crafting style so well!
This sentiment is from the K. Andrew Designs set called Guy Talk.
I used my Crayola colored pencils to color this adorable guy in! (at the time I did not have any Promarkers yet!)
The paper is from my stash, I can't remember which stack I used but I do know that it DCWV.
This is the inside of the card. These sentiments are also from K. Andrew Designs.
Well, thanks for taking a moment to stop by my blog! It's another day of meetings and classroom prep for me tomorrow! I look forward to sharing some classroom pics with you next week. I'll be back this weekend to share some decorations that I put together for my cousin's wedding in July!
Until Next Time...

I'm BACK!!!...FINALLY
My oh my!!! It's been a LONG time since I've blogged! I had to take a hiatus from crafting and blogging because I just wasn't feeling it! I feel like that happened a few times over the past year, and I'm not sure why. Don't know if it's something that all crafters go through or just me. Nonetheless, I'm back and plan to do my best to blog at least once or twice or maybe even three times a week!!! Although I was on a sort of hiatus, I did create a few things here and there over the past few months. I decided that for my first official post back, I would share a super cute and fun card that I created this past weekend.
Isn't this just adorable!!! All of the paper used was from my scraps!
The tree and all of the images are from Stamps By Judith. The tree is called the Tree for All Seasons and I then used the Butterfly, Cupcake, and Star Stubbs that can be purchased separately. The images were all colored using my Letraset Promarkers, which I LOVE!!! (I'll blog about those another day!)
Here is the inside of the cards
All of the sentiments are from the following K. Andrew Designs Stamps: Splashtastic Summer, Winged Things, Coffee & Tea for You & Me
I'm not sure if you can tell, but I added some Stickles to all of the images for a little bit of bling!
And there you have it! Hope you like it! I am also using this for the Create Your Classroom Design Team Call!
Thanks for taking time to stop by and check out my creations! I promise to not take another hiatus for a long time!!!
Until Next Time...

What a Wonderful World- Getting Cricky Guest Designer
Hello Crafty Friends!! I'm so excited to be a Guest Designer over at Getting Cricky with K. Andrew today!!! I just LOVE all of her stamp sets, and I almost have all of the sets she has released so far! :) When Kristal asked me to be a guest designer, I was more than thrilled! I already knew right away what I was going to make to share with everyone! A few weeks ago I shared a project that I made that included some adorable pinwheels, and I wanted to take a chance to share how to make them with you, so that you can add them to your projects as well!
Here are all of the items you need to get started. The patterened paper is double sided and is from My Minds Eye: Fine & Dandy Girl 6x6 Pad, DCWV Rickrack Cards Blue & Brown, Mrs. LuvvyOwl- Digital Delights by Louby Loo, Timeless Twine, lollipop sticks, brads
From the 6x6 paper cut two 2 1/2 inch x 2 1/2 inch squares.
Next cut slits that are about 1 1/2 inches long from each corner to the center of the square.
You will then fold one side of each flap to the center of the square. Each of the corners should overalap slightly. Put a hole in teh center where the flaps overlap and insert a brad.
Once you have inserted the brad, you can attach your pinwheel to the lollipop stick using a glue dot and use the twine to tie a little bow! I colored the lollipop stick with Tim Holtz Distress Ink- Vintage Photo.
Voila! You have now created your very own pinwheel! Aren't they super cute! the best part is that they are super easy to make!
Once I had my pinwheel made, I was ready to put my project together! I just LOVE how this project came together! Here is the stamp set that I am featuring in my projects today:
Of Mice & Lil Men
Here is the project put all together! I just LOVE it!!
Here is a close up of the top half of my project! The cute little owl is perched on the other lollipop stick, since I only needed one pinwheel for this project! This awesome sentiment is from the Of Mice and Lil Men stamp set from K. Andrew Design! This set is AWESOME and also goes perfect with so many different projects!
And here is a close up of the bottom half! This sentiment is from one of my favorite K. Andrew Design stamp sets- Positive Thoughts! This set has some very inspirational sentiments!!!
Sentiments are from the following sets, Of Mice and Lil Men, All in the Family, & Crafty Friends.
This tag is for a sweet treat that I will be giving to one of my co-workers who has had a lot going on lately and just needs a little pick me up!
Sentiments are from the following sets: Splashtastic Summer, Of Mice & Lil Men. Image is Daisy Flower from Digital Delights by Louby Loo
Last but not least is the Graduation announcment card that I am making for my little sister to send out to family letting them know about her graduation this month! Sentiment is from Of Mice & Lil Men and grad cap is from Happy Graduation cartridge!!!
WOW!!! So many fun projects each showcasing how awesome and versatile the K. Andrew Design stamps are, especially the set Of Mice and Lil Men!!! Be sure to head over to Kristal's store to grab your very own set so that you can get creating!
Thanks so much for stopping by and taking time to see my creations! I hope that you have been inspired!

Comforting Butterflies
Hey there Crafty Friends! I can't believe that tomorrow is Monday already! Where did the weekend go! It was such a lazy weekend for me! And you know what...I enjoyed every moment! I have a slightly less busy week ahead, which is great because I have several crafty things that I need to get done, including our school's yearbook!!! EEEK!!! I know it will all get done, I just need to get myself a little more focused! LOL Anyway, here is a quick project that I wanted to share with you. It is a sympathy card, but it features one of my favorite things, Butterflies! :) I really love how the colors and the card as a whole came together! I hope that you enjoy it too!
Didn't it turn out just gorgeous! The pattenred paper is from the Best Friends cartridge for the Imagine. The beautiful flowers are from a Prima set that I picked up at A.C. Moore. The butterfly was cut from the Storybook cartridge. All of the sentiments are from K. Andrew Designs-Sympathetic Sayings.
There were so many great sentiments on this set, that it was tough to choose the right ones for this card. I really love how the card turned out and it was super quick to put together.
Well that's all I have for today! I will be back later this week to share some more fun projects!

Greetings Crafty Friends! I hope that you each have had a wonderful weekend! I had a pretty hectic week and my weekend, while fun, was extremely busy! I'm looking forward to a great work week, although I do need to get our school's yearbook done! Eeek! I know it will get done! I mean I do my best work under pressure! LOL! Anyway! I just wanted to stop in to share a quick project that I created using K.Andrew Design Stamps and the Enjoy the Seasons cartridge for the Imagine! When I saw this image in the handbook I knew the PERFECT sentiment that I could use for it! The sentiment is from the Of Mice & Lil Men set over at K. Andrew Designs! I just LOVE this set and ALL of her stamps! They are so fabulous and fun to use! I plan to put this in a frame to make it even more special! Well that's all I have for now! What A Wonderful Thing!
Good Evening Friends! I have enjoyed every minute of my Spring Break, but unfortunately tomorrow means that I shall return to work! I honestly have missed all of my wonderful kiddos and can't wait to find out about the adventures they each had over the break! In the midst of preparing for the work week, I did manage to find a few moments to get some crafting in! I decided to try something that I've not done before and I was so extremely happy with the turn out. I've been seeing a lot of cards and projects with pinwheels on them so I wanted to give them a try! I LOVE how they turned out and the project turned out much better than I envisioned! Without further adieu here is what I was able to create! I cannot say it enough how happy I am about how this came together! I started by making the pinwheels. The larger pinwheel is made from a 3'' square and the smaller pinwheels are from 2'' squares. I then used brads to hold them together. The sticks are lollipop sticks, that I use when I'm making candy, that I inked using Tim Holtz- Broken China. I then attached the pinwheels to the sticks at varying heights. The grass is a piece of scrap paper that I had and then fringed to make it look more like grass. The clouds were cut from one of the pre-loaded images on the Cricut Imagine and then inked with Tim Holtz- Broken China. Everything except for the grass is popped up using pop dots. I LOVE those things! I use them on almost EVERYTHING! LOL! Last but not least my sentiments are from K. Andrew Designs Stamp line! I just LOVE her stamps and I enjoy mixing and matching all of the different sentiments. These two sentiments come from the following sets Of Mice and Lil Men and Winged Things. This was a fun project to put together and I plan to frame it and have it in my office/craft space to remind me that having and using my imagination is a in fact a wonderful thing! I am entering this into the following challenges: Love to Crop- Say What? Say Anything! Getting Cricky Simply Sunday- Favorite Project Die Cuttin Divas- Use Pastels Well that's all I have for now. Be sure to stop back during the week to see some of the other fun things I have worked on! Until Next Time... Big Crafty Butterfly Hugs! |
