Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge & Pre-Hop Week

Good Afternoon Friends!! I hope that everyone is having an absolutely wonderful weekend!! I think it always goes by WAY TOO FAST!!! Can't we just have Monday be a part of the weekend too! LOL! For this week's Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge we had to create a project to celebrate an Engagement, Wedding, or Anniversary. I think that these are all very special occasions and with Valentine's Day literally around the corner, I'm sure there will be lots of engagements. So that was what I chose to focus on for my project to share with you. Not only is today our Simply Sunday Challenge but it is the start of our Pre-Hop Week. This week many of my DT Sisters will be sharing projects that highlight 1 Cricut cartridge or SVG set and K.Andrew Design Stamps. We truly want to show you how verstaile and wonderful these stamps are. Here is my project for today: The base of my card is cut from the cartridge that I will be featuring all week: Smiley Cards. I think that this cartridge is a lot of fun and I can't wait to show you how fun they are when you add some K. Andrew Design stamps to them!!! The center piece for the front of the card was created from heart punchouts that I adhered together to create this flower. I inked the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink and then bent the edges of the white petals to add some dimension. The "Will" sentiment was created by masking off and combining two sentiments in the Coffee & Tea for You & Me set and the "you" is from the Winged Things set. Now for the inside of the card which holds the element of surprise! LOL The box with the ring was cut from the Sweethearts cartridge. The "Be Mine" sentiment is from the new I Heart You! set. The "?" is from the Coffee & Tea for You & Me set. This was a fun card to put together! I hope you've enjoyed it!
