Soon To Be Banner

Hello to all of my wonderfully crafty friends!

I would first like to say WELCOME to all of my new followers! I'm almost at 100 followers and I can't believe it! If I reach 100 followers, I think I'm going to try to have some sort of blog candy, so stay tuned in! I've only been blogging for a few months, and it is amazing all of the talent I have seen and there are so many people who have inspired me to continue to want to be crafty...so to each of you I say THANK YOU!

Things are still pretty busy for me, but I am happy to announce that i am less than 3 weeks away from being done with my Master's program!!! I am so excited and cannot wait to be done so that I can have LOTS more time to craft and blog! :)

A few weeks ago my intern, who loved the banner I made for her, asked me if I would make a banner for a friend of hers who is getting married in the near future. I was very happy to do it for her. I was pretty happy with how it turned out and I am always looking for ways to improve and make things better.

Just wanted to share. Let me know what you guys think!

Thanks again for stopping by! I enjoy reading ALL of your comments! Thanks for being such an inspiration to me! Until next time...

Nana's Birthday

I just wanted to share a card that I created for my great-grandmother's birthday which was earlier this month. I am behind on making some other cards, but this was one that I had to make because it was for my Nana who is very near and dear to my heart. She is the one who I get my cookng inspiration from and she is one of many who helped to instill in me how important it is to go to school. I am forever grateful for all the wisdom that my Nana has and continues to share with not only me but our entire family. We'd be lost without her!

I just LOVE the colors that I used

I used my i-rock to bling up the cake

Thanks for stopping by! I hope that you enjoyed your visit and that you will come back again soon!

Until next time...

It's been a LONG time...

Oh me oh my...it has been a VERY LONG time since I've had  the chance to post anything. Things have gotten so busy for me lately that I barely have time to sit down and take a breath. Although I haven't had a chance to share some of my creations when I made, I have made a few things in the past couple of weeks.

This year I was able to fulfill one of my goals of becoming a mentor teacher to an aspiring teacher. I have to say this was a very rewarding and reflective opportunity for me, especially since I'm only in my 3rd year of teaching and to know that my principal thought that I was a good candidate to offer this wonderful experience to a student teacher from Towson University.

My student teacher was amazing and I definitely learned a lot from her and I hope that she took a lot of positive and helpful things away from her experience with me. Her last day with my 1st graders and I was on March 4th and what better way to show our appreciation for her than to have a celebration of thanks. I wanted to make sure that she had things that she would be able to use when she gets her own classroom so we collected items for a gift basket and I made her a set of 10 Thank You cards to have on hand. I also made a special card and banner to let her know that we would miss her and just how much she meant to us.

I was so happy with how these cards turned out and they were very simple to put together.

Is this not the cutest card?!?

It was missing something so I decided to finally open up my I-rock and put it to use. I was so happy with the end result

The gift basket filled with goodies

My very first banner. I would have liked to have done a little more with it, but I kind of waited to the last minute to get it done. I was very pleased with how simple yet cute it was

Cute tote with all of the kids handprints and signatures

Thanks for stopping by. I love and appreciate all of your comments. Things are beginning to slow down for me so hopefully I will be able to start crafting much more.

Until next time....
