Sample Invites & A Rockstar Thank You

Oh how I have missed being able to post. I haven't had much time to create this past week. I really hope to be able to sit down and get a few things done this upcoming week. I have a belated birthday card to make and some other things on my list of things I'd like to do!

Last weekend I was asked by a friend if I had any creative ideas for wedding invitiations. After looking at many different blogs, I was inspired by the creations that I saw over at Weddings with the Cricut.
Here are some samples that I created to share with my friend.

I created the base for the invitation by using by gypsy and welding circles to a 5" square.

I just adore this closure for the invitation

I love the hibiscus on the inside of this invite!

Isn't this closure soo cute!  I'm also entering these into the Getting Cricky with K Andrews A-Z Challenge

Both of the closed invites together

I also had a chance to create a thank you card for a former student who brought me a special present. He loves his guitar and all things related to art and music so I knew that this guitar from Smiley Cards would be perfect for him!

Thanks for stopping by! I love to read your comments they really do inspire me to continue to be creative.

I want to share a quote that I read from the Februrary Issue of O Magazine:

" You are the creative type. We all are---even if we don't know it yet."

Keep smiling and creating! Until next time...

Fun In the Sun!

Is anyone else ready for spring and summer to get here?!? I was so glad to be able to make another summer themed card this week but this time it was for a co-worker who has a love for the beach and warm weather. I love using brigt colors and this definitely gave me a chance to do so! I am also going to be entering this card into the Cooking with Cricut and Fantabulous Cricut Challenges- Emboss It. Hope you like it! :)

I just love this card! It turned out PERFECT!!!
I used my D'Vine Swirls folder for the water and I used Spots & Dots for the white layer

Thanks so much for stopping by! I will have some more projects to share as I have some more birthdays coming up in  my family in the next couple of weeks!

Take Care and Always remember to SMILE!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Happy Valentine's Day to Everyone!!!

It has truly been a day filled with love and friendship for me! I had a wonderful time with my students today and seeing them share their friendship and love with not only their classmates but with my student teacher and I as well. They really know how to make you appreciate being a teacher!  I then came home to a wonderful surprise from my own Valentine ( who might I add has been a wonderful valentine for the past 6 years!) I have just treasured every moment today as I do everyday!

Now on to my crafts. The first project are the pencil holders. I got the idea and inspiration from my dear friend Wendy over at Cricut Your Classroom. They were very well received from all of my students, considering lately they have not been able to find their pencils! :)

My next craft are pillow boxes that I cut from the Wedding cartridge. I stuffed them with some chocloate, sweethearts and lifesavers. The tag was punched from my EK success punch and the sentiment was from a set that I got from the dollar bin at Michaels. I was very happy with how these turned out. My kids were so anxious to find out what was inside of them but they had to wait until they got home to find out.

Lastly I wanted to share the card I made for my Valentine, Carl! It seemed like he liked it and even if he didn't I did!!! LOL

I thought I would wrap up this post by sharing some pictures of my surprises and cards from Carl!

I love giant balloons especially the ones that sing or talk to me such as this one!

This cute little bear talks back to me every time it hears "I love you!"

This has been a wonderful Valentine's Day and I hope that all of you have been able to surround yourself by someone or something that you love! Until next time...

Cruisin

Well hello there!! It has been a very productive Sunday for me. I was able to get all of my Valentine's Day goodies done for my students and volunteers. I will post those pictures tomorrow. Tonight I wanted to share a card that I made to enter 3 challenges, Music Mondays , My Pink Stampers Pink-alicious Blog Hop, and Fantabulous Cricut's Challenge Me Monday-Weather Forecast

I used Create-A Critter for the sun and my new Nifty Fifties Cartridge for the car and 'cruisin'

For the Music Mondays challenge I had to create something that made me think of California. When I think of California I think of sunny skies and people cruising along the beaches or highways taking in all of the warmth.

For the Pinkalicious Blog Hop I had to create something with Black and my favorite color. My favorite color is blue but I also love bright colors hence the reason for the extra bright colors! :)

The Fantabulous Cricut challenge this week was to create something showcasing your favorite seasonal weather. I love spring and summer so I really love sunny weather where you can get outside for hours!

I hope you like it!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful week!

So Many Wishes

Well hello there everyone!!! Seems like forever since I've had the chance to share with you! Things have been really busy for me the past couple of weeks but I finally had an opportunity to sit down and make some things this week.

But before I share my creations with you, I just wanted to share that Vicky over at Victoria Scraps has some awesome blog candy since she has reached 100 followers! I can't wait until the day I can say that I have reached that milestone! Be sure to check out her blog and become a follower! She is a very talented lady and I love to see all of her creations, I know you will too!

Now on to my newest creations!

This first card was made for my grandfather who celebrated his birthday yesterday! I love my Pop-Pop and I'm so happy that I was able to make a card for him (although it will get to him a little late). I just love the way this turned out!

Truck is from Everyday Paper Dolls
Cake is from Simply Charmed
Stamps used: PKS Everyday Characters & MPS Everyday Life
Yellow Stickles

This next card was made for one of my former students who has been feeling a bit under the weather lately, and I thought I would make this for her to cheer her up and lift up her spirits. She is such a sweet young lady and I was so blessed to have been able to share her 1st grade year with not only her, but all of my students. I can't wait to see what she thought of her special card! I just love this cute little sun!

Sun is from Create a Critter
Punch used is by EK Success
Sentiment is from MPS Everyday Life
Flower paper is from DCWV  Glitter Mat Stack

My last item, was actually supposed to be a card for someone, but I was not happy with the way it turned out, so I just made it into something that I may attach to a gift or something in the future. I don't now yet.

Present is from Simply Charmed
Martha Stewart Glitter
Brad is from Recollections

Well that's all I have to share for today! I have lots of valentine's stuff to make this weekend, since of course I waited until the last minute, but that's me! I also have some new cartridges that have just arrived that I can't wait to play with (Storybook, Forever Young, Nifty Fifties, and Mother's Day Bouquet)!!

Have a wonderful rest of the week and be sure to smile! You never know whose day you may brighten just from a simple gesture of a smile!

xx Hugs  xx
