Valentine's Card

Hello everyone! I want to share a card I made with one of my new cartridges, Hello Kitty Greetings. This cartridge is so cute and has so many possibilities. I have lots of little girls in my class this year and past, that LOVE Hello Kitty, so I hope to be able to make some fun things for them in the future with this cartridge. It took me a couple of days to make this card because I couldn't quite figure out what I wanted to do with the cut that I had made. Once I took a break from it and came back to it, it started to come together quite well. Let me know what you think!

I love the way this turned out! I really like the ribbon and the fact that I was finally able to make a great looking bow! LOL

Border is punched from Martha Stewart Lace Heart. Stamp is from My Pink Stamper- Everyday Life

Card base is cut from Gypsy Wanderings. Heart with Wings is from Hello Kitty Greetings. I used my Cuttlebug - Love Language embossing folder for the pink layer on the heart and the gray background layer.

Thank You Mentors

Just wanted to take a quick moment to share a project that I did for the Mentors of the after-school mentoring program that I help to run at my school. The program is called FLOW (Future Leaders of Our World) and it is for 4th and 5th grade students. We pair the students with a mentor either a staff member or a community member and they are paired for an entire year or more. We meet weekly and do really great actvities. Since January is National Mentoring Month, we are encouraged to do something to show our appreciation for our mentors. I found this idea on Everyday Cricut and it was submitted by Bryan over at ScrapGuy's PaperCrafting Adventures. In addition to these specially wrapped Hershey bars, I am going to have each mentee decorate a card and write a note of thanks on the inside.

All paper is from DCWV- The Winter Stack. Ribbon is from Michaels, Tags were punched from EK Success punches. Stamp is from Fiskers - So Much Thanks Set

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to stop by again soon! I have more fun things to share!!!

Hugs!!!

Lost & Found

I thought I would share a project that I made earlier this year for my classroom!

It has been a huge help in reducing the number of crayons that end up being lost or swept away in the afternooons! My students absolutely love being able to put lost crayons in the box and then having access to any color that may be missing from thier own box as we work on activities!

The words were cut from the Pooh Font cartridge. The crayons were cut from Locker Talk. To make the container I used 2 box tops from boxes of copy paper.

I hope you like it!!!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving some love and I hope I've inspired you to tap into your inner creative side!

Have a spectacular Sunday!

Today ended up being a Snow Day for us here in Maryland and so I finally have the chance to share a wonderful honor that Natasha at Crafting With Natasha chose to share with me. I am so honored that she thought that I was deserving of this honor! I've created my blog simply to share my creations with the rest of the world and didn't realize I was actually inspiring others to create as well. Thank you again Natasha for thinking of me!

So here are the rules:

Upon receiving this award I must thank the person who gave this to me and link it back to their blog and share 8 things about myself. Also, pass along the award to 8 other individuals that I have recently discovered and leave a comment so that they can pass along the recognition.

Family Love

It's Monday and the start of a new week! I'm hoping that this week isn't as busy or as long as last week seemed to be. Over the weekend I was thinking about my older sister a lot and decided that I wanted to craft a card that I could send her just to let her know that I was thinking about her. This is my second attempt at making a shape card, and I must say that I am more than pleased with the way the card turned out. I am also going to enter this card in Emma over at My Creative Time's Throwback Thursday Challenge!

I love to use bright colors and this fits my style perfectly!

I used Everyday Paper Dolls for the character and Sweet Treats for the scalloped flower. I then embossed the flower using the Love Language folder that I recently caught on sale!

My sentiment is from Emma's Mom You Rock stamp set! This is the only set I have of hers so far and I love it!

Her clothes are cut from the DCWV- Plaids, Dots, and Stripes Mat Stack.
I used my Peachy Keen Stamps- Everyday Characters Set for her face!

All papers are from DCWV (Jewels and All Dressed Up)

I added this extra piece to the inside of the card along with some extra ribbon.

I miss my sister a lot and wished that she lived closer! I live in Maryland and she lives all the way in Tennessee!  I know that in due time my wish will come true!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to stop by later this week to see what new creations I have to share!

Happy Crafting!

Enjoyment!

What a long week it has been and I only had to work 4 days! LOL!!! Nonetheless last weekend I made this super cute card for one of the awesome teachers on my team, whose birthday was yesterday! I was very, very pleased with the way that it turned out! I'm getting better and better each day with creating beautiful cards! Here's a look at my newest creation!

Isn't it just too cute!

The martini glass is from the From My Kitchen cartridge. I used my new Martha Stewart Ribbon Loop punch for the border.

Face is from Peachy Keen Stamps - Everyday Character Assortment. I added a jeweled brad to the olive for some extra bling!

The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper- Everyday Life
The silver circle paper is from the DCWV - Glitter Mat Stack

Just an added touch to the inside of the card!

I just loved the finished product and I know that my co-worker did too! :)

Thanks for stopping by and letting me know what you think! Have a wonderful weekend! Be sure to stop by again soon to see what other crafty things I have come up with!

Sweet Cupcakes!

I made this card for a good friend of mine! I tried some things that I have never done before and I must say I am VERY happy with the way the card turned out!!! I hope that she loved the card as much as I loved making it for her! I'm starting to feel like I'm getting better at creating cards in the little bit of time that I have been making them (only a few months ) . I hope to eventually start creating scrapbooking layouts and then venture out into creating other crafty items. I am truly inspired by all of my followers and all of the blogs that I follow as well. You all encourage me to want to try new things!

I just love this cupcake, especially the cherry on top! I used the Create A Critter Cart for the cupcake. The cute pastel polka dot layer is from DCWV- The Dots, Stripes, & Plaids Mat Stack

The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's: Everday Life set.

The green layer was embossed using the Cuttlebug Spots and Dots folder and the cupcake topper was embossed using the D'vine Swirls folder. I added some Martha Stewart glitter to give the cherry some sparkle!

Just something I did on the inside of the card!

Thanks again for stopping by. Be sure to check back later this week as a share another card that I made that I am so very pleased with! Happy Crafting! :)

Counting My Blessings & My Pink Stamper Blog Hop

So I've been on a roll this weekend and I've had an opportunity to create yet another card. This time I made a card for Carl better known to me as my Papa Bear (thus the reason for the cute bear on the card)! He is always encouraging me to share my new talent and I thought that it was only fitting that I make a card to show him my thanks and appreciation. I am also entering this card in My Pink Stamper's Blog Hop! I know it's not pink but I did use her stamp from her Everyday Life stamp set!

I think that this turned out wonderful! And Carl loved it!

The stamp is from My Pink Stamper- Everyday Life set

The bear was cut from Doodlecharms. The stiching was done using a white jelly pen.  I used the Spots and Dots Cuttlebug folder for the bottom portion.

All paper was from DCVW or The Paper Company

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you will stop by again soon! As always, comments and feedback are welcomed!

Celebrating 90 Years of Purr-fection!!!

In honor of the celebration of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.'s  91st birthday today, I created this super simple but cute kitten card! This was my first time making a shape card and I'm happy with the way that it turned out. I plan to make some cards for the ladies of my chapter, Chi Beta Zeta, but they will more than likely look slightly different than this card.

The more I look at it the more I fall in love with this cute kitty!

The pearls are from Martha Stewart and are a symbol of our 5 founders. I used Waterfall stickles for the dots on the Phi symbol

Just another view. This Kitty was cut from the Create a Critter Cartridge

And another!

I have some more projects to work on this weekend, so be sure to stop back soon! Thanks for stopping by! Comments are always welcomed!

Happy Founder's Day to all of my Sorors of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc!

Sweet Baby Wishes

So it has been a pretty crazy week so far and I must admit that my Cricut has definitely helped to calm me down! :)

I made this card for a co-worker whose baby is due very soon! I'm very happy with the way it turned out! I still have a lot more crafting I would like to do but it looks like the rest of it won't get done until the weekend!

I am very happy with the way the little cute baby turned out! I used Peachy Keen's Everyday Character Face Assortment

The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's Everyday Life Set

I'm not so happy with what I did with this part of the card...but I guess it's ok it was made with the Simply Sweet Cartridge.

Another glimpse at the completed card!

Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to leave comments! I'd love to get some feedback on things I could work on!
