Comforting Butterflies

Hey there Crafty Friends!

I can't believe that tomorrow is Monday already! Where did the weekend go! It was such a lazy weekend for me! And you know what...I enjoyed every moment! I have a slightly less busy week ahead, which is great because I have several crafty things that I need to get done, including our school's yearbook!!! EEEK!!! I know it will all get done, I just need to get myself a little more focused! LOL

Anyway, here is a quick project that I wanted to share with you. It is a sympathy card, but it features one of my favorite things, Butterflies! :) I really love how the colors and the card as a whole came together! I hope that you enjoy it too!

Didn't it turn out just gorgeous! The pattenred paper is from the Best Friends cartridge for the Imagine. The beautiful flowers are from a Prima set that I picked up at A.C. Moore. The butterfly was cut from the Storybook cartridge. All of the sentiments are from K. Andrew Designs-Sympathetic Sayings.

There were so many great sentiments on this set, that it was tough to choose the right ones for this card. I really love how the card turned out and it was super quick to put together.

Well that's all I have for today! I will be back later this week to share some more fun projects!

Until Next Time...

You Gotta Friend in Me!

Greetings Crafty Friends!

I hope that you each have had a wonderful weekend! I had a pretty hectic week and my weekend, while fun, was extremely busy! I'm looking forward to a great work week, although I do need to get our school's yearbook done! Eeek! I know it will get done! I mean I do my best work under pressure! LOL!

Anyway! I just wanted to stop in to share a quick project that I created using K.Andrew Design Stamps and the Enjoy the Seasons cartridge for the Imagine!

When I saw this image in the handbook I knew the PERFECT sentiment that I could use for it! The sentiment is from the Of Mice & Lil Men set over at K. Andrew Designs! I just LOVE this set and ALL of her stamps! They are so fabulous and fun to use!

I plan to put this in a frame to make it even more special!

Well that's all I have for now! Be sure to check in this week to see what fun I have to share! I hope that you each have a terrific start to your week!

What A Wonderful Thing!

Good Evening Friends!

I have enjoyed every minute of my Spring Break, but unfortunately tomorrow means that I shall return to work! I honestly have missed all of my wonderful kiddos and can't wait to find out about the adventures they each had over the break!

In the midst of preparing for the work week, I did manage to find a few moments to get some crafting in! I decided to try something that I've not done before and I was so extremely happy with the turn out.

I've been seeing a lot of cards and projects with pinwheels on them so I wanted to give them a try! I LOVE how they turned out and the project turned out much better than I envisioned!

Without further adieu here is what I was able to create!

I cannot say it enough how happy I am about how this came together! I started by making the pinwheels. The larger pinwheel is made from a 3'' square and the smaller pinwheels are from 2'' squares. I then used brads to hold them together. The sticks are lollipop sticks, that I use when I'm making candy, that I inked using Tim Holtz- Broken China. I then attached the pinwheels to the sticks at varying heights. The grass is a piece of scrap paper that I had and then fringed to make it look more like grass. The clouds were cut from one of the pre-loaded images on the Cricut Imagine and then inked with Tim Holtz- Broken China. Everything except for the grass is popped up using pop dots. I LOVE those things! I use them on almost EVERYTHING! LOL!

Last but not least my sentiments are from K. Andrew Designs Stamp line! I just LOVE her stamps and I enjoy mixing and matching all of the different sentiments. These two sentiments come from the following sets Of Mice and Lil Men and Winged Things.

This was a fun project to put together and I plan to frame it and have it in my office/craft space to remind me that having and using my imagination is a in fact a wonderful thing!

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Love to Crop- Say What? Say Anything!

Getting Cricky Simply Sunday- Favorite Project

Die Cuttin Divas- Use Pastels

Well that's all I have for now. Be sure to stop back during the week to see some of the other fun things I have worked on!

Some Bunny Loves You!

Good Afternoon Crafty Friends and Guests!

I hope that everyone is having a Fabulous Friday!!! It's been a busy day for me but I'm glad to be back home and ready to enjoy this wonderful weekend!

I just have a quick project to share as many of us prepare for the Easter holiday this weekend! Before I left for Spring Break, which is almost over :(, I whipped together this super cute and small gift bags for each of my students. Inside each one was a piece of Hershey's chocolate, a Crunch chocolate egg, and my faves Jellybeans!!! I was quite shocked to find out how many of my students do not eat Jellybeans. There weren't too many but there were definitely more than I thought.

But anyway here is my super quick, super simple Easter treat bag!

Sorry about the lone jellybean that escaped! :)

Ingredients for these adorable bags:
Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cricut Cartridge
Enjoy the Seasons Imagine Cartridge (for patterned paper)
Scallop Circle Punch
Bunny ($1 bin at Michaels)
Sentiments K. Andrew Design Stamps- "Some Bunny Loves You"- All about Animals
"You're incredible" - Of Mice & Lil Men
Pop Dots
Candy to fill them up with! :)

Well that's all I have for today! Stop by again late to see what other crafty things I've had up my sleeves!

Until Next Time...

Sweet Love

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Sorry it has been a little bit since my last post. I have been working very hard with my students and it was getting quite exhausting as we patiently awaited the arrival of Spring Break! It has now arrived, well actually it arrived a few days ago, but I've been a busy bee in those few days. :) I have so many projects that I have worked on over the past few weeks, that I finally have time to blog about! So look for those throughout the week.

Yesterday, my boyfriend and I celebrated being together for 7 years!!! It's so hard to believe that it has already been that long! Every moment of the past 7 years has been a learning experience for the both of us. I would not trade him for anyone in the world. We definitely belong together and the best thing is that no one can break the bond that he and I have created! :)

So of course I had to find a way to put some of my craftiness into showing him how much I appreciate and love everything that he has done in the last 7 years and the wonderful and sweet man that he is!

He is a big gamer and every gamer needs their fuel, right! LOL! So I decided to make him a goodie basket full of some of his favorite treats that he can munch on while playing Call of Duty! The twist is that he only got 7 treats one for each year that we have been together!

I made this cute tag to go on the front of the basket by using one of the preloaded shapes on the Imagine and of course I had to use my K. Andrew Design Stamps. The sentiments are from the following sets It's Valentine's, Fall-O-Ween, Coffee & Tea for You & Me, and Winter Wishes. Talk about versatility! I had to hand write the "7" because I didn't have a stamp for that!

I also made a card to accompany the basket. It is very simple and I love how it came together! It was a Cricut-less card that used a lot of the scraps that I had in my crafty space!

I'm not sure if you can tell, but the red heart in the center is popped up because I really wanted our love for each other to be the focal point!

This is the inside of the card, which also uses K. Andrew Design Stamps. This set is called All In the Family and it is one of the newest sets that have been released.

What would any celebration be without a sweet treat! I have another passion besides teaching and card making and that is cooking! I love to cook and try my hand at making so many different meals and desserts. For this special occasion I decided to try my hand at making a Chocolate Oreo Cream cake that I found at Real Mom Kitchen. We both like Oreos and every now and then chocolate so I thought that it would be fun to try! It turned out very DELICIOUS!

I jazzed the edges up a little bit with some of the leftover oreo crumbs that I had, rather than let them go to waste! :)

Well I just wanted to share with you some of the craftiness that I was up to yesterday! I'm off to clean the crafting space a wee bit so that I can just mess it all up again! LOL! Be sure to check back this week to see some of the projects that I've worked on!

I'm also entering this in this week's Die Cuttin Divas Challenge #59- Sketch
