Want to be a part of a Blog Hop?!?

Happy Saturday everyone!

I hope that you each had a wonderful week and that your weekend is off to a great start!

I happen to work with my best crafting friend, Wendy over at Cricut Your Classroom, and we are very excited to be hosting a blog hop very soon! We are both teachers (I teach 1st grade and she teaches 3rd right down the hall from me! ) and we are always thinking of things to do for our students or volunteers in our classroom. With the month of May upon us, we are beginning to think about end of the year goodies, which gave us the idea for the theme of our hop!

Here are all the details!

Who: Teachers or ANYONE

What:  Create a project (layout, cards, ANYTHING) that expresses to students, teachers, or volunteers, that they have done a great job this year or something that sends them off into summer.

When: May 21-22

Where: Right here in the Blogoverse :)

If this is something that you would love to be a part of, simply leave a comment on this post with a link to your blog and your email address so that we can add your name as a stop on our hop! :)

Until Next Time...

Hall Passes and More

As most of you already know I'm a 1st grade teacher and that was my whole reason for investing in a Cricut almost 2 years ago. Each year at our school we have a certain theme and this year's theme is Together We Can Reach for the Stars. We are able to interpret the slogan anyway that we would like and since I wanted to have a Hollywood/Movie Star theme in my room, this is why when I refer to the stars, I am referrig to the fact that my students are the "Stars", i.e. movie stars! I just love it and so do my kids, we have movie themed stuff all over our classroom. I say all of this to say that, each year I also make my hall passes that the students take with them when they head out to the restroom. This year I made some pretty awesome passes out of cereal boxes and paper and I laminated them, but over the months they started to fall apart. So since I was on spring break last week, I finally had the opportunity to sit down and make new passes.

These were the original passes

These are the new hall passes which I LOVE!!! My kids were so excited about them!

I bought wooden doorhangers from Michaels a while ago and then I just used some Mod Podge to cover them in some fun papers that I had.

Back of the Boys' pass

Front of the Boys pass

Back of the girls pass

They look really awesome in person and most importantly my kids thought that they looked great!!

I also made this cute card for a former student who LOVES Hello Kitty

Sentiment is from Emma's Just a Note to Say set

This was a tough kitty to assemble at times, but she turned out very cute

This inside sentiment is also from Emma's Just a Note to Say

The card and the envelope

Thanks for stopping by today. I would love to hear what you think of my projects! I really appreciate everyones comments, and I do read them ALL! Thanks for helping to drive my love for this craft/hobby!

Until next time...

We Have a Winner

Over the weekend I participated in the Keeping the Peace Blog Hop and the following blog candy was up for grabs

I used Random.org to help me select the lucky winner....

and the winner is......

Comment #10 was shersl84bed and she said
"Fun card Lynda. Love that you used the black lettering. I love to use a lot of black on my cards and layout but not many others seem too. Its the first paper that I run out of.
Peace to me is just being home with my family. I'd rather spend a day at home with my family and dogs then go out and about."

Congratulations Sher!!! I will be sending you an email shortly to get your mailing address, but if you see this before I have a chance to email you please send me an email at rlhamm1 at gmail dot com.

Congrats again and I can't wait to be a part of another blog hop! It was a lot of fun!

Be on the lookout later this week for a chance to win some more goodies!

Until next time...

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter Everyone!

If you are here for the Keeping the Peace Blog Hop go HERE!

I wanted to get this post out earlier today but I was spending time with my family and I had such a great time!

I just wanted to share two projects that I made to give to my family members today. I am entering them in Challenge #56 at Fantabulous Cricut- Creat a project using a bunny or chick.

The first are small Easter pails that I made for my youngest sister and younger cousins. I love how cute and personal they each are! :)

Adorable chicks are cute from the Create a Critter Cartridge. Stamps are from the dollar bin at Michaels and JoAnns

Faces were stamped wtih Peachy Keen Stamps Happy Lashes

I used my Gypsy to weld the letters for each of the girls names

All of the goodies that were inside!

This second project was just a cute little touch that I added to the bags for some cookies that I baked up this morning. The cookies have white and milk chocolate chips and they were oh so YUMMY! :)

Rabbit was cut from the Doodlecharms cartridge

Face was stamped with Peachy Keen Stamps Wide Eyed and Bushy Tailed

Just another view!

That's all I have for today! I will be choosing the winner of my blog candy for the Keeping the Peace Hop sometime tomorrow. I will also be posting some blog candy since I have almost reached 200 followers!!! :)

Keeping the Peace Blog Hop

Welcome to the Keeping the Peace Blog Hop! I would like to thank our wonderful host, Adri, at My Cherie Creations, for putting this awesome hop together!  If you arrived here from Carrie's blog then you are on the right track. If you did not you are going to want to start at our host Adri's blog, so you do not miss out on any of the fun.

For this hop we were asked to create anything that related to the theme of Keeping the Peace. When I think of peace many things come to mind, but most importantly I thought about the things that put me at peace or represnt peace to me (butterflies, love, and music) if I have all of these things then I am at my happiest and all is good in the world to me. That being said, this is the card that I created!

I just love how this came together

This was cut from the Rock Princess Cartridge. I used some fine glitter to accent the music notes, hearts, and peace sign.

The butterfly was cut from the Birthday Bash cartridge. Her headphones are also from the Rock Princess cartridge. I added some stickles and glitter for some added bling! I also used my Peachy Keen Everyday Character set for her face! Isn't she just adorable!

The inside of the card.

I used Emma's Just a Note to Say set for the sentiment

And Emma's bonus stamp for the back!

What would a blog hop be without some candy?!?

Here is what I have to giveaway for this hop:

The Best Picked Flowers

Well Hello there!!!

I finished re-organizing my office/craft space and I had the urge to create something! LOL!

I've been wanting to use the Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More cartridge for a while, especially the little gift bag. So I decided to just play around and see what I could come up with. Lucky for me, I think I came up with something that is super cute! I dunno, you tell me!!!

The flower is cut from the Mother's Day Bouquet Cartridge

Sentiment is from Emma's Mom You Rock Set

Don't you just love these PK face!!!

The other side! I added some blingy brads to the center of the flowers so that they could sparkle!

And the other end!

For my first gift bag, I think it turned out quite nice. I think I may try to make a few of these for Easter for the few little ones that we have in my family. I'm also going to enter this into the Ribbons and Bows challenge over at Amber's Crafts and Stuff. I am also entering this in  Peachy Keen Stamps "Let's Face it Friday" Challenge #13 - Mother's Day!

That's all I have for now! Off to continue working on my special gift for my nephew, who should be coming into the world any day now! :)

Until next time...

With this ring...

Good morning my crafty friends!!

A good friend of mine, whom I have known since middle school, just got married this past weekend! She was absolutely stunning and I was so honored to be able to celebrate her special day with her. We threw her a bridal shower at work and this is the card that I made for her. I just LOVE how it turned out! :)

All that bling was too much for the camera to handle! LOL

Here is a better view. I love the rose paper that I used for this card. Rings were cut from the Sweethearts Cartridge. Simply elegant!

Sentiment is from My Pink Stamper

The inside sentiment is also from My Pink Stamper

One of Emma's bonus stamps! I just love it! :)

As always, thanks so much for taking a moment out of your day to stop by. I value and appreciate the friendshsips that I have made with each and EVERY one of you!

I'm headed off to finish de-cluttering my office so I can get some crafting done!

Until next time...

M.I.A

Greetings my crafty friends!

I'm so sorry that I have been neglecting my blog. I have been extremely busy in the past couple of weeks with work, grad school, weddings, etc.etc.

I am starting to work on stopping by each of your blogs and become a follower. I promise to stop by each and every one!

I haven't forgotten about my promise for a giveaway since I reached 100 followers. I am well past that and almost on my way to having 200 followers. Which is so awesome. I will post the giveway at some point this week!

I'm excited to announce that I will be participating in the Keeping the Peace blog hop hosted by Adri. This will be my first blog hop and I can't wait!!! I will also have some blog candy so make sure you stop by!

Birthdays and Anniversaries

Hello Again My Amazingly Crafty Friends!!!

I was finally able to have the opportunity to create something and let me just say it was time well deserved and spent! :)

Yesterday marked 6 years since my mister and I started dating and it was also one of my best friends 25th birthday, so I definitely had a reason to make a card or 2!!!

This first card was my creation for my mister! I really loved this rose paper that I had left over from a K & Company stack that I bought around Valentine's Day. I think it added the perfect love touch to the card.

I think that this turned out simply PERFECT!

This was stamped with a stamp that I picked up from Michaels

This was one of Emma's bonus stamps that were sent out with her latest release

This next card was created especially for my best friend! As always I was very happy with how it turned out.

Isn't this cupcake just sooo cute!!! I finally had the chance to use my new PKS Happy Lashes set and Straight from the Nest cartridge for the cupcake

This is one of Robyn's latest stamps

This was the outside of her envelope

Another one of Emma's bonus stamps

Well that is all I have for today. I have 2 more cards that I will be making tomorrow night and then hopefully I will be able to start working on a special gift for my nephew who will be joining us in the world very soon!

Oh before I forget, I have surpassed the 100 followers mark so I will be having a giveaway in the coming days. Stay tuned to see what I may be giving away!

Have a wonderful week!
